We provide our clients with everything they need to get their items printed locally. They receive a printing disc, mock-ups and guidelines on paper stock and printing.
Disc Setup
Our discs are set up with the following folders:
MAC USER READ ME FIRST: It is imperative that you open this folder BEFORE you copy the items from the CD to your hard drive. We burn our CDs in Joliet format, making it easier for PC users to read them. Mac users, however, have to load a couple of extensions from this folder in order to accurately read the CD. If you do not install these extensions, the file names will not match the requested PageMaker links.

Specs
Our clients expect their brochures to be printed on certain types of paper, based on the printed samples we have shown them. The client will provide color mock-ups to give you an idea of bleeds, and they can also provide you with sizing information. Here are some general specs:
Brochures:

4-color process with aqueous coating
full bleeds
die score (usually 3 panels, roll-fold)
PowerKards:
100# gloss cover
4-color process
full bleeds
House Fliers:

4-color process
full bleeds
Business Cards:
4-color, full-bleed cards are printed on 100# gloss cover
1-, 2-, 0r 3-color cards are printed on 100# white linen cover
Stationery:
70# white linen text with matching envelopes (color varies).
