For the most part, when we want something, we just go get it without ever worrying whether or not whatever “it” is might be available. Unfortunately, however, this is the same attitude that many real estate managers seem to take when it comes to recruiting.
As much as managers seem to want to believe this is how you recruit, the same cause-effect relationship does not exist in recruiting as it does in other areas of life. Despite traditional efforts, recruiting cannot be thought of as a short-term process. True, productive recruiting is an ongoing process that involves many facets of your business. Culture. Philosophy. Attitude. Marketing. All of these things are interrelated, and only when they are all in place can you make a convincing recruiting argument.
